Our Refugio Amazonas lodge lies deep within the rainforest — a luxurious oasis in the wilderness. With its wide variety of a la carte activities, the lodge is ideal for nature-lovers. And as the headquarters of our Citizen Science program, Wired Amazon, you even can contribute to science!

HOW TO GET THERE

To begin your jungle tour, you take a quick plane trip from Lima or Cuzco to the Amazonian city of Puerto Maldonado, in Southeastern Peru. After we meet you at the airport, we’ll take you on a 40 minute road trip, followed by a tranquil three hours boating upstream on the Tambopata River, to arrive at our secluded rainforest lodge.

After a day of jungle discovery, you’ll be ready to enjoy the relaxing services we offer at Refugio Amazonas. As you lounge in an inviting hammock or get a massage with jungle ingredients, we’re your destination for restoring your mind and body. Our lodge boutique is filled with artisanal crafts, while our lobby bar features rainforest-inspired cocktails alongside classics like the Pisco Sour.

Enjoy the open wall facing the Amazon rainforest and awake with jungle sounds in the morning. Our room rates include all land and river transportation to/from Puerto Maldonado to the lodge thru our fixed departure shuttle service, guided activities in group, all meals, and accommodation.
