The main falls are Salto de Santa María and Garganta do Diablo. Since the Iguaçu River borders Brazil and Argentina, there are viewpoints in both countries. On the Brazilian side, a panoramic elevator leads to a viewing platform with a magnificent panoramic view of the falls; strategically constructed walkways and viewing platforms allow for a better view of each cascade. To admire the falls, visitors walk along a 1-km external walkway and another 800-m walkway, which extends over the waters of the Iguazú River, allowing them to observe the main falls.
